M36 army (Heer) officer Feldbluse ‘Art-Rgt 33’ with Afrika cuffitle

Description

Untouched and genuine M36-pattern tailor made officer tunic for a major of the Germany Artillery Regiment 33, part of the 15th Panzer-Division that was active in Afrika. The tunic is complete with all of its period applied insignia, showing matching patina. The jacket shows light wear but remains void of major damages. The garment is executed in soft gabardine cloth, with grey HBT lining, hence in my opinion this jacket was made for Waffen-SS but issued to an army officer. The jacket has a rarely seen variant of the Afrika campaign cufftitle original applied on the left sleeve. This must have been made locally in Africa or another foreign country. The tunic has many medal loops, including one for a German Cross in Gold. A very nice combat worn German officer jacket with active duty in Africa!
