M36 stone grey army (Heer) mountain trousers ‘Gebirgsjäger Berghose’

Very hard to find pair of M36 stone grey mountain trousers. These trousers started as a standard issue M36 pair of Berghose but were period altered for the comfort of the man wearing it, and by the looks of it I would say it was an officer. Pocket flaps were removed and zippers were installed. Parts of the white standard lining were replaced with silk lining. The genuine white cotton pockets and white boarders on the ankles are still present. I have encountered only one pair of grey M36 Berghose in my life, that is in my private collection. This is the second pair, and even with the modifications, they remain a seldom seen and very desirable pair of trousers! Ca. 1938 construction. Great mannequin size!
