M40 Heer/Waffen-SS no decal steel helmet Q64 1944

Description

Typical late war M40 helmet produced by Quist. This was the last helmet factory to produce M40 pattern helmets untill very late in to the war before switching to the M42 style helmet. This is a classic no decal example with a 1944 dated liner band. The exterior is coated in field green paint and shows moderate wear. The helmet is complete with its original liner, size marked 57. The leather shows normal wear and remains supple and strong. The split pins remain untouched and straight. Complete with genuine draw string and chin strap. The strap is maker marked and dated 1942. Maker marked shell in the rear Q64, lotnumber: DN513. Honest, untouched M40 steel helmet that could be used for a Army or Waffen-SS display.
