M40 Heer/Waffen-SS no decal steel helmet Q64 1943

Description

Typical late war M40 helmet produced by Quist. This was the last helmet factory to produce M40 pattern helmets untill very late in to the war before switching to the M42 style helmet. This is a classic no decal example with a 1943 dated liner band. The exterior is coated in field green paint and shows moderate wear. The helmet is complete with its liner and draw string. The split pins remain untouched and the washers were applied on the wrong side during the assembly. Maker marked in the rear Q64, lotnumber: DN525. Honest, untouched M40 steel helmet that could be used for a Army or Waffen-SS display.
