M42 army (Heer) enlisted overseas field cap

Description

Very rare and not often encountered M42 overseas cap. This model was only produced for one year (1942) and therefor these caps are quite hard to find, since many were converted with a bill later in the war to look like a M43. Complete with its national insignia period applied (in T-shape) on the front of the cap, this was common practice for these caps, I sold a similar panzer onze, having the same set up here. The tan colored lining show normal wear and markings are faded. Desirable and rare army field cap! Good size ca. 57-58.
