M42 Army/SS green camouflage steel helmet ET68

Description

Large size late war M42 helmet. Was period overpainted in green camouflage colors using a thick brush. By the fond of the lot number (that is only partially visible), I would say this is a ET/ckl shell, but the maker mark is covered in the green camo paint, that was also used on the inner rim. Therefor this helmet could possible be an army or SS helmet. The liner is complete with draw string but remains a bit dry. It is size marked ’61’. A very nice looking late war ‘subtle’ camo helmet.
