M43 Sturmabteilung ‘SA-Gruppe Südmark’ RZM field cap

Description

Mid-war constructed SA brown wool M43 pattern field cap. Nice original eagle and Edelweiss on pink backing, original applied for SA-Gruppe Südmark in the Alps. Complete cotton/rayon liner. Double button front. Cap is size  marked 53/54. The cap has an original RZM tag, indicating this is a ‘Tuchmütze’ for political use. The leather sweatband is dry and shows craps. The cap itself looks rather unworn and shows some storage patina. A beautiful and hard to find field cap!
