Description
Beautiful M95 officer spike helmet for a Bavarian officer of the reserve. The front plate is executed in ‘Kriegsmetall’, a lower quality metal made during the period 1914-1918, because all quality material was needed for weapons and munition. The helmet is in great shape and shows only little wear. Complete with liner and maker marked sweat band. The helmet comes with its original black case, but the closing straps are gone. On top of the box, many transport tickets are piled/glued on each other, as every time an officer traveled, this box would have a name tag with a station/destination on top. Comes with the rare and often missing ‘Paradebusch’ in red dyed horse hair. The pin/spike can be easily screwed off and can be replaced with this parade bush. The dog tag of the former officer is also included. A very attractive WW1-era Pickelhaube for a Bavarian officer!Â
