Description
Very hard to find early and unissued black army Panzer wrapper in excellent condition. Unworn example, still having its original factory tag. The eagle and collar tabs are period applied and well sunk into the wool. The shoulder boards have the early pink wool piping and a set like this is worth a small fortune today when sold separately, they match the jacket perfectly and have never been separated from this tunic in my opinion. A variety of issue stamps can be seen on the lining, topmost is a rectangle showing B.II.39 (1939), below that a makers name of G.MANTZKE followed by the size information stamps, that are similar to the sizes on the paper factory tag. The other side shows a written number and handwriting, probably from a Russian museum. The right upper sleeve/shoulder shows a very small moth hole, but besides a few other small nips no major damages are visible. When we got this wrapper it was missing the large closing buttons and skulls, after a long search we finaly found an early pair of tombac skulls that we put on the collar tabs and we also added the original black buttons again. This is by FAR the best army Panzer wrapper I have owned in a long time and the first one I ever had with a factory tag inside! A rare beautiful and untouched Panzer wrapper!
