Description
P38 Pistol Holster (Pistolentaschen P38). When issued the P38 came with a specific holster to be worn on the left side of the load carrying waist belt. The blackened ‘pebbled’ leather construction second pattern soft-shell holster has two belt-loops on the back. The holster body also has a stitched on spare magazine pocket. The holster is nicely marked on the back with ‘P38’ and maker marked with bml (‘Hans Römer’ from Neu-Ulm) dated 1944. The leather is still supple. The holster is named inside to Ben Lansford, the American solider who probably brought this holster (and gun) back home as a souvenir from WW2.
