Description

Wehrmacht 1st model Camouflage Smock (Tarnhemd) made of HBT ‘Splittertarn’ camouflage material. The Wehrmacht camouflage smocks were based on the Waffen-SS camouflage smocks and were officially introduced in late 1942. This is a first pattern smock in ‘Splittertarn’ camouflage pattern, and was issued without a hood to members of the Großdeutschland division.  Executed in HBT (Herring Bone Twill) ‘Splittertarn’ camouflage material. The smock is having five eyelets for a drawstring closure, the drawstring is still present! The smock is having two vertical breast openings. Looks to be maker marked by Carl Holter (or something in that range) and dated 1942 (St 42). The smock is light worn and shows minimal traces of use. The smock is still showing strong colours. Rare and hard to find original smock in very good condition!
