RARE M42 Army/Waffen-SS tricolor camouflage helmet EF64

Description

Incredible M42 steel helmet with very desirable camo pattern. This particular pattern with brown/red dots on tan color surrounded by green color is typical for helmets found in The Netherlands in 1944-45. This helmet came from an attic in Groningen (NL) not so long ago. Unfortunately the liner sufferd from bad storage hence the dark brown color. Comes with a full length chin strap in similar condition. Maker marked shell by EF64, lot number 3523 (no decal – database). The helmet could either be issued to the army or Waffen-SS.

Update 7/03/2023 – Frederik (FJM44) was so kind to share a picture from his private collection with these helmets worn by Dutch Waffen-SS volunteers. The picture was taken in The Netherlands during the war.
