RARE M42 Reichsarbeitsdienst ‘RAD’ single decal steel helmet ET66

Description

A very rare and seldom encountered M42 RAD helmet. These helmets always were reissued out of army helmets, sometimes the decal was placed on top of the army decal, in this case the army decal was removed prior on applying the RAD shield. The shield shows normal wear and scratches but remains present for 70%. The helmet is complete with its original installed liner, the split pins remain straight. Leather was treated once for better preservation. The shell is maker marked by ET and size marked 66. Lot number in the rear 1779. A very rare RAD helmet!
