RARE Wehrmacht ‘POA’ Russian Liberation Army field tunic and trousers 1943

Seldom encountered and truely rare POA (Русская освободительная армия) uniform set executed in captured French ‘Horizon Blue’ cloth, not be compared with blue/grey luftwaffe cloth! Both jacket and trousers are in nearly unissued condition but sadly had to deal with some moth damages. The tunic is a fine M43 pattern jacket that does not close down until the bottom. It is maker marked with a RBNr. 0/0450/0151 and size marked on the first aid pouch. It is complete with it period applied national insignia and slip on shoulder boards. Sadly the collar tabs are missing. It comes with a matching blue pair of breeches, also made in 1943 and also made from captured French cloth. Even the aluminum buttons are classic captured French army ones that we often encounter on German uniforms and trousers. If these breeches weren’t attacted by the moths, they would be worth well over 1500 euro being so rare. The breeches are also dated 1943 and maker marked by RBNr. 0/0250/2514. This set came together and should be kept like this I think. It’s funny and also classic German-thinking to use the old blue colored captured French cloth (Blue Horizon) for their ‘second-rate’ troops such as the Russians. Amazing set – once-in-a-lifetime!
