SS 27th Freiwilligen-Grenadier-Division “Langemarck” Flemish collar tab

Waffen-SS collar tab intended for a member within the ’27.SS-Freiwilligen-Grenadier-Division “Langemarck” (flämische Nr.1)’. As with other foreign volunteer units, the Germans devised and produced special insignia intended for these soldiers. The collar tab is showing an embroidered 3 legged swastika in silver thread on black wool. The collar tab is having a nice light-brown, colored ‘buckram’ backing. The collar-tab originates almost certainly from the SS clothing department at the Dachau KZ when liberated in 1945. This collar tab was taken as a souvernir by a US GI.
