Untouched paratrooper Fliegerbluse unit marked Fallschirm-Pionier-Battalion 2 Normandy

Description

100% untouched and original Luftwaffe Fliegerbluse for a paratrooper or Fallschirmjäger. Complete with all of its period applied insignia. The interesting part is of course the Fallschirmschützenabzeichen (Para Badge) being original applied on the lower chest of the jacket and the unit markings inside, being first part of Fallschirm-Jäger-Regiment II and later Fallschirm-Pionier-Battalion 2. The battalion was destroyed in Brest in September 1944 and re-established in the Netherlands in December 1944. The jacket is nicely marked with with size markings and is dated 1939 (LBAS39). A matching pair of yellow piped ‘Flieger’ schoulderboards are present and sewn directly into the jacket. The sleeve shows a Obergefreiter rank chevron, matching with the 3 rank guls on the collar tabs. Very hard to find a Fallschirmjäger Fliegerbluse in this untouched condition!
